Hey 👋😊!!! Hummm I see🤔 to be honest background painting is one of my weaknesses and like you probably did I watched tones of youtube videos...few of them gave me tips but the practice was taught me a lot...with many fails too...I could try to explain my process so I will do my best to make one. 😁👍

The Blender file is set on 24fps and I animated the shot on 4 (so the render is les smooth than the original but helps for working faster) 😃👍

Cheers brother 🙏😊! Yeah it's actually good to have your feedback on your experience of making BG😁 because I knowyou do great work🔥. From the time being I do think painting my BG on Photoshop is a gain of time. Doing it Blender wasn't comfy (bit laggy) and it felt so different from a digital painting software. And like you said for only minor adjustments in Blender it's definitely worth👌. Who knows maybe with more practice I could change my mind and fully adopt painting in Blender😆 haha. Its pretty hard to do that tho. But you can make a drawing pen for touch screen with a regular pen, cotton, and a wire. Theres plenty of tutorials out there

So I'm working on my laptop running Windows 11. The software I'm using is called Blender (version 4.1). And for drawing I'm using a mouse & pen tablet (Wacom Intuos Small) 😁👍

Hi 👋😃. No worries I think it's because of the viewport shader. To fix this all new to do is to 1) look up on your viewport window on the top right corner. 2) You should find 4 spheres icons 3) I believe on your screen the second one is selected highlighted in blue. 4) just select the third one for = the material preview. 5) And voilà colors should be correct. Hope that help you.🙏✨️

The software is Blender 🙂 and in it you have Grease Pencil for making 2D inside of a 3D space 😊

Cheers man 🙂. Indeed, it does take lots of practice to understand mostly how the software work. Learning at software it always a tough task but I would recommend you Blender because it's very complete, versatile and free + the software always receives updates so it constantly improving 😁. I did have a Totoro tutorial as an introduction for beginner (if you haven't seen yet you should find it in my channel 😉). In your case of making a short film I believe by learning the basics you could easily start making a movie. You might also need to fetch some infos about the process of making a movie (just for your understanding of the requirements needed). I'm pretty sure learning on the go is also a possibility for you to master a bit of everything. So you have to be really solid for that haha 😁🌟. I will do my best to show you a bit of everything hehe 😊

Hmmm 🤔 try to set your viewport in RENDER preview and also set the mode to OBJECT MODE. Normally when you add an fx onto the grease pencil, you must follow the steps to actually see it. Let me know if these steps work 😁👍. Cheers!

Alright so I re-watched that part and I need to ask you something. So when you try drawing a circle it doesn't looks like what I do on screen? And when you draw the circle you cant see it when drawing but it only appear after you hit enter, correct?... if it's that it's probably because of the reference 🤔...but I need to be sure of your issue.

Hi 👋😃. So you reached the point when I'm showing the interpolation. Have you tried to do the interpolation yet? CTRL+SHIFT+E shortcut? I would like to know if you done that and what type of result you get. (If you had good or broken interpolation)... depending of your answer I'll tried to help you out...if I understand you are trying to apply this process on your own animation isn't?

Yes I did try to add it the shortcut and a shortcut not working with my keys it's like my keys are different from yours I try your shortcut and they don't work maybe this setup I have in my blender

Ummm nothing happened 🤔... Could you try this for me please : 1) be sure to have your layer selected on the timeline (it should be highlighted in green when selected) 2) on this layer, where you drawn the keyframes, grab the blue playhead on the timeline and place it somewhere in-between two keyframes 🔶️ (in my example there is a gap of 1 frame in-between two keyframes) 3) Now place your mouse cursor over the viewport (the 3D scene). Finally do the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+E to interpolate. Or do it manually from EDIT MODE at the top the viewport select > Grease pencil menu > Interpolate sequence. Or from DRAW MODE select the Draw menu > Interpolate sequence. 4) And normally by doing these steps you should get the interpolation automatically 🔹️ 5) My set up looks like this after done the interpolation 🔶️🔹️🔶️ (because I space one 1 frame in-between the 2 keyframes the interpolation fill the gap with one breakdown 🔹️) I hope this instructions will works 👍

@@tuat555 I figured it out some how but ran into a next problem the 17:24 when trying to arrange the color to put it in the back you said click A to select all the color on the face after locking the solid stroke , I did in the edit mode and when I right click nothing showed up for me to arrange it to go to the back that's why I keep saying your short cuts or settings are different from minds it may help others who have the same settings as your but it anit helping people with my setting well this is as far as I'll go then.

Sorry to hear that man. From what I showed about the shortcuts at the beginning, I've installed Blender with the default settings and only set up 2 shortcuts TAB and SPACE. I know there's a setting for the mouse click LEFT & RIGHT but I swear I haven't set anything as shortcut for this. So, if RIGHT CLICK doesn't show the context menu with the ARRANGE option, you may check in EDIT>PREFERENCES and see what your RIGHT CLICK do. To be honest I didn't expect that issue from you having different settings but it's fine. To get the ARRANGE option instead of doing the RIGHT CLICK, go to EDIT MODE > click the top bar menu GREASE PENCIL > and you select the ARRANGE option. Once again my apologies 🙏 to see you struggling with issues but known that I will try to help whenever I can 👍

Hummm 🤔... So first, how many layers do you have on your project? Did you draw on one layer for the line and then use the fill on that same layer?... I could be an issue with the layers... the basic method that can recommend you is to have one layer for your drawing (lineart) and then below it create a new layer for the fill (colors)... so you only use the color layer to fill color (make sure to select that color layer before filling) 🙂👍. I hope that solution will help you 🌟
